Manufacturer description
SEGA Game Gear Console -New Glass lens. All electrolytic capacitors on the mainboard have been replaced. The original capacitors are known to fail and leak, the liquid inside them is corrosive. I take special care to clean up the corrosion caused by this. I use ceramic SMD capacitors everywhere I can, only the power supply has new electrolytic capacitors. The original power board and sound card have been recapped. The original shell and buttons have been washed and have wear. Includes FIFA International Soccer cartridge. The console has been fully tested and works great. Please Email me with…
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored SEGA Game Gear Console -Recapped using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the handheld consoles category. Sega's handheld consoles lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for handheld consoles of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent.
