Manufacturer description
This Sega Saturn’s internal clock/settings battery appears to be dead as it will ask for language and time every time you power it on. This lot has one OEM controller and one third party controller, both of which were tested: for the OEM, the X-button is ever so slightly mushy. For the third party controller, the C-button is pretty mushy. (The third party controller has extra buttons which I didn’t test because frankly I didn’t understand them, but if the buttons were also on the OEM controller, I tested them on the third party controller.) While the games work the discs are quite a bit…
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored SEGA Saturn Model 2 Bundle Tested 3 Games 2 Controllers & Cables using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the retro consoles category. Sega's retro consoles lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for retro consoles of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
