Manufacturer description
The NES is tested and working, however, it was rather difficult for me to get a game to read. I had to put the game in and then as the light blinked red move the game around until I saw the animation up on the screen, then hit the reset button and it worked fine after that. This is common with old consoles to be a bit finicky in reading games. The controllers are working, the zapper wasn’t fully tested as I do not have a CRT television, but the trigger registers properly
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored Nintendo NES Console Bundle using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the retro consoles category. Nintendo's retro consoles lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for retro consoles of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
