Manufacturer description
Hey yall, This one is super clean and not heavily scratched up like I have often seen. I open and Clean all my consoles I list on ebay. Sega and Nintendo are easy to clean and I enjoy the process. I order the Triad Magnetics power supplies from Amazon. In my opinion, the Triad Power supplies are the best ones out there for the Model 1. 2 controllers and A/V cable as well as Sonic the HedgeHog 2 and manual. If you have any questions please let me know. Thank you
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored Sega Genesis Model 1601 Console with Triad Power Supply using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the retro consoles category. Sega's retro consoles lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for retro consoles of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
