Manufacturer description
Exploding Kittens Edicion Original is the Spanish-language printing of the card game that began as one of the most-funded Kickstarter campaigns ever, and the gameplay loop is unchanged: draw cards, dodge the exploding kitten, and be the last player standing. The 56-card deck is illustrated by The Oatmeal, and every card, rule, and instruction sheet in this edition is printed in Spanish, so Spanish-speaking households and language learners can play without translating on the fly. Action cards let you skip your turn, shuffle the deck, or defuse the kitten with a laser pointer or a catnip…
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored Exploding Kittens Edicion Original Spanish Version using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the tabletop & card games category. Exploding Kittens's tabletop & card games lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for tabletop & card games of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the cards and rules actually in Spanish, or just the box?
This is the Spanish-language edition: the 56 illustrated cards and the included instruction manual are all printed in Spanish.
How many people can play Exploding Kittens?
The deck supports 2 to 5 players. For larger groups you would need to combine it with a second deck.
What age is this card game appropriate for?
The publisher lists it for ages 7 and up, and the rules are simple enough that new card-game players pick them up in a round or two.
How long does one game take?
About 15 minutes per game, which is why it works well for party nights, travel, and filler between longer games.
Is this the same game as the English Exploding Kittens?
Yes, it is the Original Edition with the same 56-card deck and The Oatmeal artwork, printed in Spanish instead of English.
