Cat 8 Ethernet Cable 100 ft, Shielded RJ45 Network LAN Cable

Bottom line: The MUKSIRON Cat 8 Ethernet Cable 100 ft: 40Gbps at 2000MHz bandwidth, 4x the ceiling of Cat7, Cat6, and Cat5e runs; main trade-off: 100 ft is far more cable than most rooms need, and there is no shorter length here.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • ✓ 40Gbps at 2000MHz bandwidth, 4x the ceiling of Cat7, Cat6, and Cat5e runs
  • ✓ 26AWG oxygen-free copper, thicker than the 32AWG used in most budget cables
  • ✓ F/FTP shielding wraps each of the 4 twisted pairs in its own aluminum foil
  • ✓ UV-resistant PVC jacket rated for direct sun, rain, snow, and humidity

Cons

  • ✗ 100 ft is far more cable than most rooms need, and there is no shorter length here
  • ✗ 40Gbps needs 40G NICs and switches; PS5 and Xbox ports cap at 1Gbps
  • ✗ 26AWG at 100 ft is stiff and bulky to route behind furniture or through conduit
  • ✗ F/FTP shielding only helps when grounded through properly shielded equipment

Manufacturer description

The MUKSIRON Cat 8 Ethernet Cable runs a full 100 ft between your router and the far corner of the house, and it is built for bandwidth you will not outgrow soon. Rated for 2000MHz and 40Gbps, it carries four times the throughput of the Cat7, Cat6, and Cat5e runs it replaces, which matters when a NAS backup, an 8K stream, and a gaming session all share the same line. Inside the jacket are 26AWG oxygen-free copper conductors in four foiled twisted pairs (F/FTP), each wrapped individually in aluminum foil so crosstalk and electromagnetic interference stay off the wire. That 26AWG gauge is…

SpecPicks Verdict

SpecPicks scored MUKSIRON Cat 8 Ethernet Cable 100 ft using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the retro networking cards category. MUKSIRON's retro networking cards lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.

Common buyer scenarios for retro networking cards of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Frequently Asked Questions

Will this actually make my PS5 or Xbox load games faster?

No. The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S ethernet ports top out at 1Gbps, so the cable's 40Gbps rating is headroom, not extra speed. What you get is a shielded, reliable 100 ft run that holds a stable gigabit link where Wi-Fi drops.

Can I bury this cable or run it outside?

The jacket is UV-resistant PVC rated by MUKSIRON for direct sunlight, rain, snow, extreme temperatures, and humidity, which covers exposed outdoor runs. Direct burial is a different rating; check the product listing before putting it underground.

Is 100 ft too long? Will I lose speed over that distance?

100 ft is roughly 30 meters, well inside the 100-meter ethernet standard, so no signal loss for gigabit or 10G use. The 26AWG copper is thicker than typical 32AWG cable, which helps maintain signal over longer runs.

What is the difference between this and a cheaper Cat 6 cable at the same length?

Three things: 2000MHz versus 250MHz bandwidth, F/FTP shielding with each pair individually foiled versus usually unshielded, and 26AWG conductors versus thinner wire. The shielding is the practical win near power lines or motors.

Does it come with a warranty?

MUKSIRON lists an 18-month warranty plus lifetime customer support, and free cable clips are included for installation. Confirm current warranty terms on the product listing, since seller policies change.
