Manufacturer description

Store 5TB of photos, video projects, and archives on a portable drive built for both Windows and Mac. The LaCie Mobile Drive (STLP5000400) connects over USB-C 3.2, so offloading a card full of RAW files or moving a finished video export off your workstation happens without the wait of an older USB-A enclosure. Frequently Asked Questions

How much can I actually fit on the 5TB LaCie Mobile Drive?

The drive offers 5TB of capacity, which is enough room for large photo, video, and project archives. Usable space after formatting is always slightly under the stated figure, so check the product listing for the exact formatted capacity.

Does the LaCie Mobile Drive work with a Mac and a PC?

Yes. LaCie lists it as compatible with both PC and Mac systems over its USB-C 3.2 interface. If you plan to write from both platforms on the same volume, you may need to reformat to a shared file system.

What is included with the Adobe All Apps Plan bundle?

The drive ships with an Adobe All Apps Plan, giving access to Adobe's full suite of creative software. Term length and redemption steps are set by Adobe, so check the product listing and the included redemption details before purchase.

Is this an SSD or a traditional hard drive?

It is a portable hard drive, not an SSD. That is how LaCie gets 5TB into this price and size class, but expect mechanical-drive transfer speeds rather than flash speeds, and handle it carefully while it is spinning.
