Manufacturer description
The MUKSIRON Cat 8 Ethernet Cable gives you a 25 ft shielded RJ45 run rated for 40Gbps throughput and 2000MHz bandwidth, roughly four times the rated speed of Cat7, Cat6, or Cat5e cable. Inside the jacket you get 26AWG oxygen-free copper across four foiled twisted pairs (F/FTP), with each pair individually wrapped in aluminum foil to cut crosstalk and electromagnetic interference from nearby power runs, routers, and switches. That thicker 26AWG conductor holds signal better over a 25-foot pull than the 32AWG wire used in slim patch cables. Gold-plated RJ45 connectors seat in any standard…
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored MUKSIRON Cat 8 Ethernet Cable 25 ft using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the retro networking cards category. MUKSIRON's retro networking cards lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for retro networking cards of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Frequently Asked Questions
Will this Cat 8 cable actually make my internet faster?
Only if your gear can use it. The cable is rated for 40Gbps at 2000MHz, but your real speed is capped by your router port and ISP plan. Most home routers use 1Gbps ports, so the benefit is headroom and interference resistance rather than a raw speed jump.
Does it work with a PS5 or Xbox Series X?
Yes. The gold-plated RJ45 connectors fit all standard ethernet ports, and MUKSIRON lists PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One along with gaming PCs, routers, modems, switches, smart TVs, streaming devices, IP cameras, and NAS systems.
Can I run this cable outside or bury it?
It has a UV-resistant PVC jacket built for direct sunlight, rain, snow, extreme temperatures, and humidity, so outdoor surface runs are within its stated design. Direct burial is not claimed on the listing, so check with MUKSIRON before putting it underground.
What is the difference between this and a cheap Cat6 cable?
Two things: conductor gauge and shielding. This uses 26AWG oxygen-free copper rather than the 32AWG wire common in slim cables, and all four twisted pairs are individually foil-wrapped (F/FTP) to block crosstalk and EMI. Cat6 patch cables are often unshielded.
What warranty and support come with it?
MUKSIRON backs the cable with an 18-month warranty plus lifetime customer support, and free cable clips are included for routing. Check the product listing for current warranty terms and claim process before you buy.
