Pros & Cons

Pros

✓ 40Gbps at 2000MHz bandwidth, rated 4x faster than Cat7, Cat6, and Cat5e
✓ 26AWG oxygen-free copper, heavier than the common 32AWG budget wire
✓ F/FTP design foil-wraps all four pairs to block crosstalk and EMI
✓ UV-resistant PVC jacket rated for sun, rain, snow, and humidity

Cons

✗ 3 ft length only reaches a router or switch sitting right beside the device
✗ Cat 8's 40Gbps ceiling is wasted on gigabit routers and consumer ISP plans
✗ Thicker 26AWG shielded cable bends less easily behind wall-mounted gear
✗ Heavy foil shielding adds bulk in tight console or PC cable channels

Manufacturer description

The MUKSIRON Cat 8 Ethernet Cable is a 3-foot shielded RJ45 network cable built for setups where a short run still has to carry serious bandwidth. It supports 2000MHz bandwidth and 40Gbps data transfer, which MUKSIRON rates at four times the throughput of Cat7, Cat6, or Cat5e patch cables, so it suits lag-sensitive online gaming, 4K and 8K streaming, video calls, NAS transfers, and cloud workloads. Inside the jacket you get 26AWG oxygen-free copper conductors and four foiled twisted pairs (F/FTP), each individually wrapped in aluminum foil to cut crosstalk and electromagnetic interference…

SpecPicks Verdict

SpecPicks scored MUKSIRON Cat 8 Ethernet Cable 3 ft using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the networking category. MUKSIRON's networking lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.

Common buyer scenarios for networking of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Frequently Asked Questions

Will a Cat 8 cable actually make my internet faster?

Only if your hardware can exceed what your current cable handles. The 40Gbps and 2000MHz ratings are a ceiling, not a boost; on a gigabit router and typical ISP plan you will see the same speeds as Cat6. The gain is headroom for multi-gig switches, NAS transfers, and shielding against interference.

Does this work with a PS5 or Xbox Series X?

Yes. The gold-plated RJ45 connectors fit all standard ethernet ports, and MUKSIRON lists PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One as compatible, along with gaming PCs, routers, modems, switches, smart TVs, IP cameras, NAS units, laptops, and printers. It is plug and play with no setup.

Is 3 feet long enough for my setup?

Three feet works when the console, PC, or smart TV sits next to the router, modem, or switch, such as an AV cabinet or a desktop beside a wall-mounted switch. For a run across a room or between floors, choose a longer length in the same line.

Can I run this cable outdoors?

MUKSIRON rates the UV-resistant PVC jacket for direct sunlight, rain, snow, extreme temperatures, and humidity, and describes it as waterproof and anti-corrosion, so short outdoor runs are covered. For buried or permanent exterior installs, confirm the rating against your local code requirements.

What warranty and extras come with it?

It ships with free cable clips for tidy routing and is backed by an 18-month warranty plus lifetime customer support from MUKSIRON. Check the product listing for current warranty terms and return details before you buy.
