Manufacturer description
Hello! I’m letting go my Sony Trinitron PVM 14N5U monitor! I bought it second-hand years ago, and have put to good use for retro gaming. I barely use it nowadays, and need the money and space. Aside from the small cosmetic crack on the top-rear corner of the monitor, no defects are detected when powered on, and works wonderfully with any game. Comes with BNC connectors, which I will include a box of them with purchase. LOCAL PICKUP/MEETUP IN NY/NJ ONLY! Can meetup halfway if willing to meet. If needed delivered (within reason), message me for an additional charge. Price slightly negotiable…
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored Sony Trinitron PVM-14N5U Trinitron Color CRT Monitor w/ BNC Connectors using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the displays & upscalers category. Sony's displays & upscalers lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for displays & upscalers of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
