Manufacturer description
Console is in very nice condition and is Non-TMSS. Menacer includes the box/manual/ game but is missing the inner cardboard that holds everything in place. At first I though the sensor was bad, but boy is this sensor very sensitive to light and distance. You must be atleast 3-4 ft away in order for it to register correctly and the room has to have the least amount of sunlight possible in order to not interfere. However, once you get everything set up and calibrated through one of the mini-games, everything works as expected. What you see is what you get. please message me with any questions…
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored Sega Genesis Model 1 High Definition Graphics using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the retro consoles category. Sega's retro consoles lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for retro consoles of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
