Manufacturer description
Original black Sony PlayStation 2 fat console (SCPH-39001). Includes two controllers, two Sony 8MB memory cards (red and blue), power cable, and AV cables. I wasn’t able to test the controllers, but both functioned great within the past couple of years when I used to play it. They were stored with the console so they should be in working condition, but keep that in mind before purchasing. Great for retro gaming and playing classic PS2 games. Condition: Used. See photos for cosmetic condition.
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored Sony PlayStation 2 Fat Console Bundle using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the retro consoles category. Sony's retro consoles lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for retro consoles of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
