Manufacturer description

Route your case power cables where you want them and light up the interior with the ASIAHORSE 16AWG PSU Cable Extension kit. This 30cm sleeved extension set covers the connectors most builds need: two 8-pin (6+2) PCIe and two 6-pin PCIe runs alongside ATX and EPS coverage, so a single kit handles both the motherboard and the graphics card. AsiaHorse specifies 16AWG copper conductors meeting UL 1015, a heavier gauge than the thin extensions bundled with many budget kits, which keeps resistance low across the added length feeding high-draw GPUs and CPUs. The PCIe connectors are silver-plated…

SpecPicks Verdict

SpecPicks scored ASIAHORSE 16AWG PSU Cable Extension Power Cords using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the rgb & lighting category. AsiaHorse's rgb & lighting lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.

Common buyer scenarios for rgb & lighting of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my graphics card?

The kit includes two 8-pin (6+2) PCIe and two 6-pin PCIe extensions. AsiaHorse lists compatibility with GeForce cards including the 4060 Ti, 4060, 3080 Ti, 3080, 3070, 3060 Ti, 2080 Ti, and 1650, plus Radeon 7900 XTX, 7900 XT, 7800 XT, 7600, 6950 XT, 6900 XT, and 6800 XT. Confirm your card uses those connectors before buying.

How long are the cables?

Each extension is 30cm. That covers most mid-tower routing from a PSU shroud to the motherboard and GPU, but measure your run first if you have a full tower or an unusually long path behind the tray.

What wire gauge is used, and does it matter?

16AWG copper meeting the UL 1015 specification. Heavier gauge means lower resistance over the added length, which is why AsiaHorse positions the set for high-draw GPUs and CPUs rather than thin display or fan wiring.

Do I need to buy cable combs separately?

No. The set ships with cable combs, which hold each wire evenly spaced so the runs sit flat and parallel behind a glass side panel instead of splaying apart.

Are these cables stiff or hard to route?

They use a nylon braided exterior over a PET interior, which AsiaHorse describes as soft to the touch and easy to bend. Braided extensions still add bulk over stock cables, so plan for slightly less clearance in narrow channels.
