Manufacturer description
The Selfila 5-inch ring light clips onto a laptop lid, monitor bezel, or desk edge and runs off a single USB port, which makes it one of the simplest ways to fix the underlit look most webcams produce. The 48-LED ring covers five color temperatures from 3200K to 6500K, spanning warm tungsten through cold white daylight, and each temperature has five brightness levels, so you can match the room you are actually sitting in instead of washing your face out with one fixed setting. The clip bracket grips surfaces up to 1.35 inches wide and pivots a full 360 degrees, so you can angle the ring…
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored Selfila Ring Light 5 Inch USB Portable using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the streaming gear category. selfila's streaming gear lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for streaming gear of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Frequently Asked Questions
Will this clip onto my monitor?
The bracket accommodates surfaces up to 1.35 inches wide, so it fits most laptop lids and slim monitor bezels. Measure the thickness of your panel edge first; thicker all-in-one or curved displays may exceed that.
Does it come with a power adapter?
No. The ring light is USB powered and the adapter is not included. Selfila specifies a 5V 2A or higher supply, so a phone charger, powered USB hub, or laptop USB port meeting that spec will work.
What lighting settings does it have?
Five color temperatures spanning 3200K to 6500K (warm, warm white, natural white, daylight, cold white) and five brightness levels for each, controlled from the inline controller on the cable.
Is it bright enough for streaming on Twitch or recording TikToks?
The 48-LED, 5-inch ring is sized for close-range face lighting at desk distance, which covers webcam calls, streaming, selfies, and vlogs. For full-body or wide shots, a larger ring on a stand is the better tool.
How portable is it for travel?
It weighs 0.5 pounds and ships in a 5x5x2 inch package, so it packs flat in a laptop bag. Since it draws from USB, a laptop port or power bank meeting 5V 2A keeps it running away from a wall outlet.
