Pros & Cons

Pros

✓ 9 ports total: 6 AC outlets plus 3 USB from one 2-prong wall outlet
✓ 1728J surge rating via TVS, MOV, and GDT circuits, under 1ns response
✓ 3-sided wide spacing fits 6 bulky wall-wart plugs without blocking
✓ Grounding screw anchors it to the wall plate to stop wiggle and slippage

Cons

✗ No grounding unless the existing outlet box is already grounded
✗ 3 USB ports share only 5V/3.4A total, so charging slows when all 3 are used
✗ No USB-C port; all 3 USB ports are USB-A

Manufacturer description

The LENCENT 2 Prong to 3 Prong Outlet Adapter solves a specific problem in older homes: ungrounded two-prong wall outlets that can't accept modern three-prong plugs. This 9-in-1 wall adapter expands a single polarized two-prong receptacle into 6 wide-spaced AC outlets plus 3 USB ports, so you can run 9 devices from one older outlet. The three-sided layout spaces the outlets far enough apart that bulky wall-wart plugs don't block their neighbors, and the AC side handles up to 15A/1875W. The USB ports share 5V/3.4A max and auto-detect connected phones, tablets, and most USB devices to deliver…

SpecPicks Verdict

SpecPicks scored LENCENT 2 Prong to 3 Prong Outlet Adapter with USB Ports using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the home & kitchen category. LENCENT's home & kitchen lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.

Common buyer scenarios for home & kitchen of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Frequently Asked Questions

Does this actually ground my two-prong outlet?

Only if the electrical box behind your outlet is already grounded. LENCENT states plainly that the included grounding screw completes the ground path through the wall plate screw, and if the box itself is not grounded, the adapter will not provide grounding. The three-prong sockets still accept the plug either way.

How much surge protection does it have?

A minimum energy-absorbing capacity of 1728 joules, delivered by three complementary circuits: a TVS (transient voltage suppressor), an MOV (metal oxide varistor), and a GDT (gas discharge tube), with a response time under 1 nanosecond. A SURGE PROTECTED indicator light shows when the protection circuit is active.

How fast do the USB ports charge?

The three USB ports deliver 5V/3.4A max in total, shared across whatever is plugged in. They auto-detect the connected device and adjust output, and work with smartphones, tablets, and most USB-powered accessories. That total is split between ports, so charging is slower with all three occupied.

Will large power-brick plugs block the other outlets?

The six AC outlets use a three-sided, wide-spaced layout specifically for this. LENCENT rates it to accept six bulky plugs at once without any of them covering an adjacent outlet.

Is it safe to use in an older house?

It is designed for exactly that case, with a polarized plug that keeps appliance and house wiring polarity aligned, plus protection against overload, short circuit, overcurrent, overvoltage, and overheating. The shell is FCC-certified and fire-resistant to 1382F. Keep total draw under the 15A/1875W rating.

Key Features

9-in-1 Outlet Splitter: LENCENT 2 prong to 3 prong outlet adapter equipped with 6 wide-spaced AC outlets and 3 USB ports, converts a polarized 2 prong outlet to a 3 prong grounding outlet, allowing you to power 9 devices simultaneously to save more time. Reliable for any indoor place, especially for the bedroom, bathroom and hotel. Ideal for the non grounded outlets in older house
Wall Mountable & Secure Design: The included grounding screw allows you to secure the plug extender to any 2 prong wall outlet, which ensures a more stable connection and grounding protection, reducing wiggling, disconnection and minimizing potential electric hazards. Note: Grounding with the provided screw can only be achieved if the existing socket is already grounded. If not, this outlet extender will not provide grounding
Wide spaced Outlets and Smart USB Charging: LENCENT 2 prong surge protector features a 3-sided, wide-spaced design with 6 AC outlets (15AMP/1875W Max) that can easily charge up to 6 devices, and accommodate 6 bulky plugs at the same time without blocking others. High-speed USB ports total 5V/3.4A Max, automatically detect charging devices and deliver optimal charging speed, compatible with smartphone or tablet and most USB devices
1728J Two Prong Surge Protector Outlet Extender: Three complementary Surge Protection Circuits, TVS (transient voltage suppressor) MOV (metal oxide varistor) GDT (gas discharge tube), with response speed less than 1ns, and minimum energy-absorbing capacity of 1728 Joules, much more quickly and reliably than the traditional MOV surge protector circuit. "SURGE PROTECTED" indicator light on to show your devices are protected
Superior Safety: Built with an FCC-certified and fire-resistant PC shell (rated up to 1382°F), this multiple outlet wall plug provides comprehensive protection against overloads, short circuits, overcurrent, overvoltage, and overheating. The polarized plug provides a measure of safety for the appliances and house wiring to be aligned in terms of polarity. It is perfect for older houses
