Manufacturer description

Microsoft Xbox black game console new in box. The controller is in new condition and mint, the cable is still factory wrapped. As the original Xbox is a very fragile console, it was plugged in briefly to confirm operation. The initial start up screen that only a brand new Xbox can power on to, was not advanced into. The system is still in mint condition with film covering intact over the top and sides. The box to the system does have age wearing signs.

SpecPicks Verdict

SpecPicks scored Microsoft Xbox Original Black Game Console New In Box using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the retro consoles category. Microsoft's retro consoles lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
