Manufacturer description

The EWEADN wired typewriter mechanical keyboard borrows the round, concave keycaps of a classic writing machine and drops them onto a full-size 104-key layout topped with an aluminum alloy panel. Where most retro-styled boards lean on loud clicky blue switches, this one ships with pink linear switches, so the acoustic profile stays muted enough for an open office, a dorm room, or a late-night writing session. The scooped round keycaps are shaped to cradle a fingertip, and that extra clearance makes them easier to strike accurately if you type with long nails. A dual-function knob handles two…

SpecPicks Verdict

SpecPicks scored SEUNKWANG EWEADN Wired Typewriter Mechanical Keyboard using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the gaming peripherals category. SEUNKWANG's gaming peripherals lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.

Common buyer scenarios for gaming peripherals of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Frequently Asked Questions

Is this typewriter keyboard quiet enough to use in a shared office?

It uses low-noise pink linear switches rather than the clicky blue switches found on most retro typewriter boards, so there is no sharp click on each press. The manufacturer positions it specifically for open offices, dorm rooms, and late-night typing.

Does it work with a Mac or an iPad?

Not directly. The cable is USB-A, and a USB-C adapter is required for Mac or iPad, which is not included. Listed compatibility covers Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS, with FN+TAB to switch between systems.

What does the knob actually control?

It has two modes. In multimedia mode, rotate to adjust volume and press once to mute. In lighting mode, rotate to change brightness and press to toggle the white backlight on or off.

Is the backlighting RGB or single color?

It is white backlighting, not RGB. You get 19 dynamic lighting modes mapped to FN+1 through FN+8 and 5 brightness levels adjusted with FN plus the arrow keys.

Will the round keycaps slow down my typing if I have long nails?

The round keycaps are concave and shaped to match the fingertip, and the brand markets the profile as long-nail friendly for reducing accidental keystrokes. The layout itself is standard full-size 104-key, so key positions match what you already know.
