Pros & Cons

Pros

  • ✓ 40Gbps at 2000MHz bandwidth handles 4K/8K streaming and low-latency PS5/Xbox play
  • ✓ S/FTP build: four foil-wrapped pairs plus braided outer shield against EMI and crosstalk
  • ✓ Waterproof anti-corrosion PVC jacket rated for direct burial and outdoor runs
  • ✓ PoE support on this 6.6ft length powers cameras without a separate injector

Cons

  • ✗ 6.6ft is short for anything beyond a router-to-console or desk-side run
  • ✗ 40Gbps needs Cat 8 switches and NICs most home setups do not have
  • ✗ S/FTP shielding makes it stiffer and bulkier than unshielded patch cords
  • ✗ PoE is unsupported on the 65ft variant, so lengths are not interchangeable

SpecPicks Verdict

SpecPicks scored BENFEI Cat 8 Ethernet Cable 6.6FT using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the retro networking cards category. BENFEI's retro networking cards lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.

Common buyer scenarios for retro networking cards of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
