Manufacturer description
Stored for over 40 years. Works perfectly! All works and displays a nice clean picture. This was seldom used. In looking at others, I see most are untested, don't have working controllers, or look like junk with missing top storage door. Not the case here. This looks like 1983 here! The switchbox is obsolete on this 2-port model. I purchased and will be including the required coaxial adapter that you will run through channel 3 on your "antenna input" to play. Really nice working collectible set here.
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored Atari 5200 Console CIB Complete in Box 2-Ports TESTED AND WORKING… using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the retro consoles category. Atari's retro consoles lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for retro consoles of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
