Manufacturer description

The BENFEI HDMI to VGA cable gives an HDMI computer, laptop, or streaming device a direct line to a VGA monitor, projector, or HDTV, with no separate adapter box in the chain. At 6 feet, it reaches from a desk-side tower to a monitor or from a conference table to a projector input. It supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60Hz (1080p Full HD). The listing also names 720p, 1280x1024, and 1600x1200, so it covers most VGA-era LCDs and business projectors. The HDMI connector is gold plated to resist corrosion and abrasion. Molded strain relief helps the cable hold up to daily trips in a laptop…

SpecPicks Verdict

SpecPicks scored BENFEI HDMI to VGA 6 Feet Cable using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the accessories category. BENFEI's accessories lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.

Common buyer scenarios for accessories of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this cable to connect a VGA computer to an HDMI monitor?

No. The BENFEI cable works in one direction only. It carries signal from an HDMI source, such as a laptop, desktop, Roku or Xbox, to a VGA display. It will not work from a VGA output to an HDMI input.

What is the maximum resolution this HDMI to VGA cable supports?

It supports up to 1920x1080 at 60Hz (1080p Full HD). The listing also names 720p, 1280x1024 and 1600x1200, which suits most VGA monitors and projectors.

Will I get sound through this cable?

No. VGA is a video-only connection, so the monitor or projector will not get audio through this cable. Play sound through your computer's speakers or headphone output, or through external speakers.

How long is the cable, and will it reach my projector?

The cable is 6 feet long, enough to reach from a desk or conference table to a nearby monitor or projector. For a ceiling-mounted or distant projector, measure the distance first, because the length is fixed.

What warranty does BENFEI offer on this cable?

BENFEI offers an unconditional 18-month warranty on this cable. Check the product listing for how to file a claim.
