Pros & Cons

Pros

  • ✓ 14TB capacity handles multi-terabyte video, photo and game libraries on one drive
  • ✓ 7200 RPM spindle speed with optimized read/write caching for faster large-file transfers
  • ✓ 256MB cache buffers sustained sequential work like 4K video editing scratch space
  • ✓ 5-year limited warranty plus 2 years of Rescue Data Recovery Services included
  • ✓ Standard SATA 6Gb/s 3.5-inch form factor drops into most desktop and NAS bays

Cons

  • ✗ Mechanical 7200 RPM drive cannot approach SSD latency for OS or game load times
  • ✗ 3.5-inch internal design needs a desktop bay or enclosure, not laptop-compatible
  • ✗ Seagate lists usable capacity as variable, so formatted space lands under 14TB
