Manufacturer description
The Orbram Cat 8 Ethernet Cable ships as a 5-pack of 10-foot flat patch cords, which is the practical reason to pick it over a single-cable buy: one order wires a router, modem, console, NAS, and desktop without a second trip. Each Orbram Cat 8 cord is rated for 40Gbps at 2000MHz bandwidth, headroom you will not saturate on a home connection but that keeps LAN transfers, cloud-storage syncs, and 4K streams from becoming the bottleneck. The construction is S/FTP shielded four-pair copper with 24K gold-plated RJ45 connectors on both ends, so the added foil shielding fights the crosstalk and…
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored Orbram Cat 8 Ethernet Cable 10 ft 5 Pack using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the networking category. Orbram's networking lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for networking of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this actually make my internet faster?
No. The 40Gbps 2000MHz rating is the cable's ceiling, not your ISP speed. It removes the cable as a bottleneck for LAN transfers, NAS access, and local streaming, but your plan sets your download speed.
How many cables come in the pack and how long are they?
Five cables, each 10 feet. All five are the same length.
Will it work with my older Cat6 router and switch?
Yes. It is backward compatible with Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A equipment and uses standard RJ45 ends, so it drops into routers, modems, switches, Xbox, PS4, printers, and NAS units.
Is a flat cable durable enough to run along a wall?
The double-braided nylon jacket is rated for at least 10,000 bends, and the flat shape is built to follow edges and corners. Check local code before any permanent in-wall installation.
What do the connectors look like and do they have clips?
Each end uses a 24K gold-plated RJ45 connector. Gold plating resists corrosion at the contact points. Check the product listing for current details on the strain-relief boot design.
Key Features
- 🔌【Higher Speed】10 FT 5-Pack Cat 8 Shielded Ethernet Cable provides performance of up to 40000 Mbps (or to 40 Gigabit per second); High bandwidth of up to 2000 MHz, high-speed data transfer for server applications, cloud storage, online HD video streaming, and gaming without any lag or stop. With Orbram Cat8 ultra-fast patch cord, you won't worry about waste time for waiting.
- 🔌【Anti-Interference Design】Orbram professional network cables are made of 4 shielded foiled twisted pair(S/FTP) copper wires with 24K gold-plated RJ45 connectors on each end. Compared to the Cat 7 network Ethernet cable, the additional shielding and improved quality in twisting of the wires provides better protection from crosstalk, noise, and interference that can degrade the signal quality. This will increase the reliability and accuracy of the data transfer.
- 🔌【More Convenient】Cat 8 rj45 cables are in flat design to avoid tangled cords and save space. Flat Lan cable is super flexible to make it easier to hide or run along any surface. You can easily and immediately install the cable run along walls, follow edges or corners when you receive the durable gigabit ethernet cable.
- 🔌【More Applications】 10feet flat Cat 8 Computer Cables are widely compatible with Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A Ethernet cables. Provides universal connectivity for Televisions, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Switches, Routers Modems, PS3, PS4, Computer, Laptop, Printers, Network Printers, Network Attached Storage Device and other networking equipment.
- 🔌【Incredible Durable】 Double braided nylon exterior make Cat8 Ethernet Cable more durable, flexible and tangle-free. And this sturdy cat 8 patch cord can be bended at least 10 thousands times, so that you can reuse it without any concerns.
