Pros & Cons
Pros
- ✓ Dual RG59 shield: tinned copper braid plus aluminum foil for low signal attenuation
- ✓ Full 150 ft run in one cable, no couplers or repeaters between camera and recorder
- ✓ True 75 Ohm impedance matched to digital video, unlike 50 Ohm coax
- ✓ Carries 3G-SDI and 6G-SDI, so it handles HD and higher-bandwidth feeds
Cons
- ✗ Blue jacket only, no black or white option for discreet runs
- ✗ 150 ft is a lot of cable to route and dress if your run is short
- ✗ BNC male on both ends only; adapters needed for anything else
- ✗ Requires SDI-equipped gear, so no use with HDMI-only cameras or monitors
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored XRDS -RF 150FT SDI Cable using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the display & crt accessories category. XRDS -RF's display & crt accessories lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
