Manufacturer description
CONSOLE ONLY. NO CONTROLLERS OR CABLES. Console is in good but not mint condition. It has some scuffs/scratches but is free of any major cosmetic wear. The red power light does not work (common problem). The console otherwise works as intended. It plays most cleaned games on the first insert. The controller ports work, and it outputs both video and audio through AV cables. Please zoom in on all pictures. I try to catch the light on everything so you can see any wear. If you want more pictures, just ask! Ships same or next day. NO RETURNS. NO REFUNDS. Please ask any questions before buying.
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored Sega Genesis Model 2 Console Only Tested & Works using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the retro consoles category. Sega's retro consoles lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for retro consoles of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
