Pros & Cons
Pros
- ✓ 40Gbps at 2000MHz leaves huge headroom over gigabit routers
- ✓ 26AWG copper conductors, far thicker than typical 32AWG modem cable
- ✓ F/FTP double shielding on cable and both RJ45 ends cuts EMI/RFI
- ✓ UV-resistant PVC jacket rated for outdoor runs, not just indoor
Cons
- ✗ Cat8's 40Gbps is wasted on the gigabit gear most homes run

- ✗ Brand states signal attenuation grows past 100ft on longer SKUs
- ✗ Cat8 needs shielded keystones and grounded gear to hit rated speeds
Manufacturer description
The cat gruciso Cat 8 Ethernet Cable gives you a 50-foot run rated for 40Gbps throughput at 2000MHz bandwidth, which is well beyond what a gigabit router or Xbox will ever ask of it. That headroom is the point: the double-shielded F/FTP construction wraps four foiled twisted pairs of pure copper in 26AWG conductors, a noticeably thicker gauge than the 32AWG cable bundled with most modems, and the extra copper plus the shielding cut EMI and RFI interference over a long run. Gold-plated RJ45 connectors sit at both ends, shielded to match, and the cable is backward compatible with Cat7, Cat6e…
SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored cat gruciso Cat 8 Ethernet Cable using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the networking category. cat gruciso's networking lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for networking of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Frequently Asked Questions
Will this Cat 8 cable actually make my internet faster?
Not if your plan and router are the bottleneck. The cable supports up to 40Gbps at 2000MHz, so it removes the cable as a limit, but your speed still caps at whatever your ISP and router deliver.
Can I run this cable outside between two buildings?
Yes. The jacket is UV-resistant PVC over 4 shielded foiled twisted pairs (F/FTP), rated by the manufacturer for direct sunlight and cold, humid, or hot weather, and listed for both outdoor and indoor use.
Is it compatible with my Xbox, PS4, or Nintendo Switch?
Yes. Both ends use standard gold-plated RJ45 connectors and work with Xbox, PS3, PS4, Nintendo Switch, smart TVs, iMacs, NAS units, IP cameras, VoIP phones, and any RJ45 device. It is also backward compatible with Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6e, and Cat7.
What gauge is the wire, and does that matter at 50 feet?
It uses 26AWG four-pair pure copper, thicker than the 32AWG found in many patch cables. Heavier copper holds signal better over long runs, which is why the 50ft length is specified at 26AWG.
Should I buy a longer version than 50 feet?
The manufacturer notes that lengths beyond 100ft see increasing signal attenuation, though they state it does not prevent the cable from working. At 50ft you are well under that threshold.
