SpecPicks Verdict

SpecPicks scored Joystick Extension using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the flight sim gear category. Generic's flight sim gear lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.

Common buyer scenarios for flight sim gear of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.

Key Features

  • 【Extended Reach】: Adds 120mm of length while moving the grip 70mm toward the rear, creating a longer and offset control position for simulator setups.
  • 【Selectable Twist】: Choose a straight version or a 5, 10, or 20 degree twist to change the grip orientation to suit your preferred control position.
  • 【Cable Required】: Installation requires the internal cable to be lengthened by about 160mm. The extension cable is not included and must be prepared separately.
  • 【Installation】: Route the lengthened cable through the twist axis first, reassemble the grip and twist axis, feed the cable through the extension, then mount the extension to the base using the original side cover screws or suitable M2.5 screws.
  • 【What You Get】: Includes 1 black 3D printed extension in the selected twist option. No extension cable or other additional hardware is included. Tested only with the non-EVO version.
