SpecPicks Verdict
SpecPicks scored HCXLELD Sim Racing Handbrake using a rating × review-volume × price-fit model applied to published specs and reviews across the sim racing category. HCXLELD's sim racing lineup sits within the broader category mid-tier; price and specs are the deciding factors over brand loyalty here. Judge it on the specification table and the price rather than on sentiment: check the figures that decide your use case, then put it side-by-side with two or three close alternatives in the Compare tool before clicking through.
Common buyer scenarios for sim racing of this kind: matching it to an existing build, replacing a failing part, or upgrading from a previous-generation equivalent. Check the spec table below against your current setup — particularly socket / form-factor / power-rating fields — and confirm compatibility on the retailer's listing before purchase. Prices and stock are set by the retailer and may have moved since this page was last updated.
Key Features
- Multi platform compatibility: the handbrake supports Logitech G29 G923(PS style) for PS4/PS5, it also supports Logitech G920 G923(Xbox style) for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One. In addition, the handbrake is not supported for other steering wheels on PS/Xbox.
- Note that plugging the wheel's USB into the USB-A port of the handbrake instead of the console, otherwise, the handbrake cannot work on console. The handbrake's led displays blue when work on PS4/5, and displays white when work on Xbox. Please watch the product video of the handbrake, it's helpful for player to use and troubleshoot.
- G29 G920 G923 cannot use axis function of the handbrake on console, so we offer a solution to map the clutch axis to the handbrake axis, which can be adapted to most games, but G29 G923(PS style) can only use button function of the handbrake on GT7.
- The new version G29 G923 must switch the mode to PS4 on playstation 5, the handbrake does not support PS5 mode, the LED of the handbrake will flash blue warning light when the wheel is in PS5 mode. PS4 mode can also play all PS5 racing games.
- HCXLELD Hub application for the Windows system, which can calibrate the handbrake stroke, set the dead zone, set the curvature, and update the firmware.
- The handbrake doesn't occupy the H-shifter port of the steering wheel, so it can work together with H-shifter on console.
