BlueRigger HDMI to DVI Cable 6FT vs CanaKit 3.5A Raspberry Pi 4 Power Supply — Head-to-Head (2026)
Our verdict first, then the specs side by side.
Our verdict
Neither wins, because these aren't competitors. The CanaKit 3.5A USB-C supply is what makes a Raspberry Pi 4 turn on, and the BlueRigger 6FT HDMI-to-DVI cable is what gets its 1080p picture onto a DVI-D monitor. Buy the power supply first: a Pi without clean 5V doesn't boot at all, while a Pi without a display cable still runs headless over SSH.
Buy the CanaKit 3.5A USB-C supply if you're powering a Raspberry Pi 4 at all, whether it's a headless server, retro emulation box, or desktop. It's the single non-optional part, and an inexpensive one. Buy the BlueRigger HDMI-to-DVI cable if your only spare monitor or projector is a DVI-D (24+1) or DVI-I (24+5) panel. It gets 1080p video out of a Pi, PS5/PS4/PS3, Xbox One, Roku, or a graphics card without a separate converter box. The pair is cheap enough that most desktop-Pi builders should just buy both in the same order.
